Employee-First Strategic Sourcing Model:  ID Retained vs. Sourced Roles

We believe that at the hart of a companies success is your employees. When creating a Strategic Sourcing Strategy, the first question that needs to be answered is where do I want employees vs. contractors. Employees should be at a companies core, in Strategic Roles, in Strategic Platforms and influencing Strategic Relationships.

We will work with you to develop an Enterprise Sourcing Strategy that identifies Retained vs. Sourced roles and show the path to achieve the targeted model.

What we deliver:

  • Enterprise-wide role analysis (retained vs. sourced vs. partner)

  • Strategic app portfolio mapping to employee ownership

  • Clear path from current state → target sourcing model

Outcomes:

  • Employees in strategic roles

  • Vendors in commodity functions or temporary needs

  • Vendor delivery models determined: Managed Service, Staff Augmentation, Outcome Based, etc.

  • 20-30% cost-to-serve reduction

  • Employees that have a clear vision of their career path and are energized

Employee Roadmaps:  Employee Disposition, Training, Transition & Communication Plan

Once the sourcing model has been identified, the work to map the current organization into the new model begins. Individual employees will be slated for retained roles, skills evaluated to determine if additional training is required and employees that do not fit into the new model will be identified for separation. Strategies for severance and retainers will be crafted and a communication strategy developed.
